CONCUSSION INFORMATION
In 2011 and 2012, Kentucky State legislation was passed establishing mandates for the evaluation and management of head injuries which occur during interscholastic sports in the secondary school setting (HB281 and HR58). As certified athletic trainers with education and training in the evaluation and management of head injuries, we have a duty to protect our athletes from further harm by recognizing when a head injury has occurred and to be active in the management of these injuries.
