Al Green, ATC

  Al Green was a founding member of KATS, serving as the Society's first Vice President and second President. A graduate of the University of Michigan and The University of Arizona, Al served as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Michigan before becoming the head athletic trainer at the University of Kentucky. Al has served as chairperson of the NATA public relations committee, chair of the District 9 public relations committee, member of the Board of Certification and convention registration committee.

Al has served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. He also served as the medical director of the Bluegrass State games for many years. Among his other recognitions are the 2001 NATA Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer, NATA Hall of Fame and SEATA Hall of Fame.
